Yes -- workshop of best way to share would be nice. I'm thinking about working on a project that's been gnawing at me ... Have condensed my own, personal paper-related and print photos to one big storage tub (well, maybe a few ...). I've got oodles of scrapbooking supplies. So, I'm thinking I'll make a condensed but art-filled "my story" scrapbook. Ironic, since some of the paper-related mementos are ones I tore out of my old scrapbooks to scrap them when I was downsizing to move. Now I just need to break this HUGE project down to manageable pieces.
I presented my experience from last year to my glass artist group, focusing on the transformation I experienced of moving from goal orientation to discovery and play. It was great fun and many folks indicated they're likely to join us this year.
Having a better way to document my project would be great!
Yes on the workshop. I think that would be really nice especially for some of us who are still new to Substack and first time trying The 100 Day Project.
In my opinion, it is grand idea to do a workshop. This will be my first year participating. My plan is to have one video on the 7 things i make. 7 ways to create this for junk jurnal art folks. I hope it works out. Pleasekeep me in your prayers for physical heath and well being.
The idea of thinking about the project through categories of play, practice, produce was really helpful not only for the 100 day project but for my creative practice as well. I’m firmly in the ‘play’ column and this fits really well as I’ve recently accepted that it’s more helpful to think of myself as a ‘dabbler’ than an artist. This helps me focus on process rather than outcome, helps to understand that I have enough knowledge and skills to launch into making, that there isn’t another magical skill or material that will make it all happen. So thank you. In terms of documenting, I, like many others, are moving away from Instagram for a number of reasons. So it would be great to be able to think through other ways of doing this.
Yes!! I would be interested in this because I feel constrained by lack of ideas and I like to begin with a way to tie my 100 days together, so to speak
a workshop on how to document and share your project? absolutely! I'm in!

I'm so glad it was helpful, Jordan! I love that seeing your work through play helps you own it as a dabbler :)
