Hello! And welcome to all of our new friends, we’re happy to have you here.
Quick recap of where we are in getting ready for the project:
The project starts February 23 – just under 2 weeks from today!
How to participate: beginning on the start date, do your project every day for 100 days, documenting and sharing online as you go (we’ll talk more about how to do this later).
Not sure what to do? So far we generated a list of ideas and thought about things we’d like to do just for fun.
Last week I wrote about the three core motivations for doing the project: to play, to practice, and to produce. Getting clearer on your why can set you up for success by helping you design a project suited for where you are in this moment.
Today, let’s think about practice as a motivation. By practice, I mean wanting to learn something new or develop your skills in a particular area. This might be a tool, a technique, a medium.
Here are a few questions to help you generate ideas:
What’s a skill you’d like to learn or improve?
What’s a tool you’d like to learn better?
Is there a class you might want to take to help with the skills or tools you want to learn?
What might you learn or improve on over 100 days?
When you think about practicing a skill, what comes up for you?
How do you feel about practice compared to play for your project this year?
XO,
Lindsay

Here’s a calendar I made for you to track your #The100DayProject – it was meditative and fun, I also encourage you to make your own (and would love to see them – you can share in the comments or tag us on Instagram @dothe100dayproject.)
Hello Lindsay, this will be my first time doing the 100day project and I am really excited to start! I have left Instagram and Facebook. Is there any particular place or way to share as a 100day community on Substack?
So excited to participate for the fifth year in a row!
