I like the more or less and made a quick list for myself. Last year was horrible with many horrible events and traumas and am so ready to move on ahead.

More joy, Less brooding

More laughter, Less brooding

More sunshine/outdoors/walking, Less brooding

More making, Less brooding

More writing, Less brooding

I could go on but you get the idea....

More: Smiles, patience, outdoor time, painting, bird knowledge, exercise (i.e. stretching), hiking, kayaking?

Less: Anxiety, depression, bills

As to what I am going to do for the 100 days, I think I know what I want to do. Really, it is aligned with what I am trying to do in my business and with social media and of course my creativity. I look forward to it this year. Last year I didn't make it very far, but I don't mind trying again, and again, and again, ad nauseum. Not only until I finish, but then to keep finishing year after year.

I’ve been doing the 100 day project for roughly 6 years. My projects are usually photography based and I particularly enjoy the community and the friendships that have formed each year with fellow members. When I started the 100 day project it began in approximately April. As a photographer it is next to impossible for me to have a successful (and without stress) project that begins during the winter. My works require natural light and I also work full time so during the winter it is an impossible feat to make photographs each day. I have considered starting my 100 day project at a different time, but I have found that I am really lacking in community when I do this. In the past I made new friends and found new projects when watching the daily Facebook posts and searching around the IG hashtag. I have found when participating at a different time than the rest of the group that I’m not able to have that community feel. In my opinion, I would like to see the 100 day project start later in the year. I don’t see much point in myself participating otherwise. Thank you.

This version of the project starts in the winter, but I’m sure there’s other versions that run later in the year, or you’re of course welcome to organize your own group! Good luck!

I recently had a reason to revisit some subjects I did (several times) for my 2023 project. I still feel the strength of the lessons I learned back then come through in the art I was making in the present. It motivates me to pick a technical area to work on this year, to keep building a technical talent area.
