I think it's the best thing that you, the human being running this project, are willing to be a beginner. It helps me feel braver to try something new and be a beginner, too! <3
I've successfully completed the 100 day project twice, and tried to complete another 3 times. Each year has been a creative experience I'm happy to have had. The trick for me to complete was the commitment to someone else to share the work with (one year it was mail art to my son, the next it was an art journal for a local gallery I coordinated a Hundred Day Project show with. Both projects on my Instagram feed from 2014 and 2015). This year I am doing another art project for my son so hopefully I will get this year finished also. I'm lucky he is a willing recipient and always encouraging his mom to make more art. : )
Thank you! I forgot to mention that one of my journals from that year was accepted into a show called "The Art of the Book" at Sebastopol Center for the Arts in California in 2016! (Also my Art Mail to my son was also 2015 )You can see those on Instagram with #artjournaltraciestorie and #100daysmailarttraciestorie
Wonderful post, thank you! This year, I am working on silencing my inner perfectionist because I know it stops me from being creative. I’m trying to replace my idea of “good” with “fun” instead. Looking forward to participating in the project for the first time this year 💜
Would love to do this.
Thanks for the encouragement! What I needed on a Saturday morning 🌈
Looking forward to this!!
I'm so excited for this year I'm choosing a different art medium than previous years!!
