This practice has given me the structure—daily—and the encouragement to make art. My mantra is just keep going, which is easier to do now that I say to myself, it’s all an experiment. I have given myself permission to be bad at something new, and frustrated with results. All I have to do to “succeed” is keep going. I can handle that. This is great. Thank you. @alisonporter914.

I was able to finish a story in my first week! It feels great to get it down on paper because I’ve had this idea since last year. With a little editing, I’ll be able to share it on my substack soon 😄 the challenge I faced was researching another culture and language, but I enjoyed the process. This week, I’ll do some sketching and put together a moodboard.

I'm happy to gave done all eight days so far inspite of a few challenging days due to health issues. I'm loving the freedom and flexibility of my project since it's really all about showing up and letting myself play and explore with my art supplies. I'm seeing more and more how vital letting myself play really is and how good it feels. I'm surprised how much more I ended up loving the play process on days when I wasn't really up to it to begin with. Such a great surprise!

I’ve knitted everyday and posted everyday. The posting and sharing is the hardest, but I still did it.

So far I’ve finished four scrubby cloths, ordered fun new yarn coming next week and I’m seriously considering selling my wares because I already have so many. Oh, and packing my knitting bag because I’ll be bi-locational in Virginia starting tomorrow. #knittingnothome

I appreciate the encouragement to get moving and give yourself permission to experiment, even if it doesn't turn out as great as you hope. I've been trying to become a 3d artist and I hit walls often because I find it difficult to improve. I recently wrote a post about this very thing.

I am loving the 100 days even more this year & I think it's because the past two years have shown myself I can trust myself to consistently show up for myself in this in a way that works for me, so I can properly relax into it and go with the flow! So my favourite thing so far is definitely just being able to enjoy the process. Also last weekend I attended an artists workshop that really helped me with giving myself permission around lots of things, including realising I wanted to start using the title textile artist (alongside pattern designer) and that has felt really good too 🥰
