Hello, hello – the big day is here! It’s Day 100 of #The100DayProject 💯
First, I want to thank you for being part of it, whether you participated this year or not, just thought about it, failed spectacularly (the best way to fail!), did your project every day, not at all, or something in between. From the bottom of my heart, I’m grateful to all of you for being part of this community. There is no perfect project, there is only process. So whether it feels like it or not, right where you are is the place to be. I hope you’re proud – and I’m proud of you.
This was my 8th year, and the longer I do it the more I realize that what I think I know to be true about this project is always changing. I am always changing. I am less and less into hard rules, and more and more into big hopes.
Wherever you are, I hope that you can…Â
Trust the timing of your life, creative and otherwise.
Know that discipline is a practice, not a punishment.
Find joy in creating and make peace with the parts that are hard.
Celebrate how far you’ve come and know that you are capable of whatever you choose next.  Â
A few more questions for you:
What did you learn this year?
What are you celebrating?
What’s next?
What are your big hopes?
We’d love to hear from you if you’d like to share in the comments – I read every one, and I’ll share my reflections there today too.
And a special thank you to Michael Bierut for starting the project and being so gracious, Elle for her friendship and for trusting me to take the lead, Tricia for her big heart and the weekly Reels (see them here), and our generous Facebook moderators AnnMarie, Donna, Tracy, and Sonia.
Until next time – lots of love,
Lindsay
Day 100: full of hopes 💗
Couldn’t make this year due to travelling but I now realise I could have done if I had let my thoughts be a little wider. I will be in next year. Congratulations to all those who did it and those organisers who make it possible
I have completed 99 days, with day 100 to do today. Sometimes life got in the way & I found myself creating a few days together, but I enjoyed the process.
I have learned far more about colour. Yes I know my colour wheel & have mixed my own, but this has taught me new combinations to reach for that ordinarily I wouldn't. I have come away with four new favourite palettes to use in my art journaling.
