Nell, if you have an iphone, in your photos, click on Edit (on the photo you want to add your handle), then choose Markup (pen icon within a circle), in that menu find the + sign. That pop up menu gives you options to type text or even add your signature if you have a pencil. Or you could use your finger. Once you’ve added your handle, you can move the text anywhere on the photo. Good luck! I just learned about this a few weeks ago and LOVE using it!
No, I'm an Android girl (actually do have an ipad), but your instructions got me thinking and I've worked it out. I actually thought there was some big special mysterious IG way to do it, didn't realise it was so simple!

Hi Nell! You can use an app like Adobe Express or Canva. Or a very simple way if you use Instagram:
1) open the app
2) add an image of your work as a story (either by sharing a post from your feed or by uploading a photo)
3) add text in the story
4) download the story (it’s a little arrow pointing down I believe)
Either way, don’t let not adding your handle stop you from submitting! Trish adds them when she can and we tag artists in the caption too.
