Hi Artists,
Thanks to everyone who took time to share their thoughts about the next round of the project. Over 900 of you (!!) responded. Here’s what you said:
Many of you wrote that it would be nice to have something to look forward to this winter – I’m glad I’m not alone in that feeling. Save the date: we start January 31, 2021. (February 1st is on a Monday and it’s hard to start a project on a Monday).
As far as what kind of tools and resources you’d like to see for the next round of the project, here’s what you said:
Many people wrote in their responses – some of the common ideas were to bring back the podcast, create more opportunities for people to find and connect with artists doing similar projects, to feature more community members, and to just keep it simple.
(Side note: I really enjoy the behind-the-scenes look into projects like these, do you too?)
The vast majority of you – over 60% – wanted some kind of daily creative or journaling prompts, with an in-depth guide on the project getting the next most votes. So I’m going to start there, and depending on resources, time, and interest, we’ll look into some of your other favorite ideas.
Specifically for the guidebook, I’d love to know: what questions do you have about how to do the project? What are your biggest challenges to doing the project or building a consistent creative practice? If you’d like to share, you can tell me here:
I’ll share more soon. Thanks again – I can’t wait to start with you all again soon!
XO,
LJT
