Hello there, friends!
#The100DayProject is a pretty flexible container for a creative practice – each year we pick a start date (this year it’s February 23) and give guidance on how to choose a project, then you choose what you’re going to do and how you’re going to document and share.
One of the ways we offer support is through daily creative prompts – all 100 days of the project! If you’d like to know more about what getting the prompts means, here’s what you can expect:
practical tips to help you build your creative habit
creative exercises to help you get unstuck, play, and have fun making
journaling prompts to reflect on your process
self-care practices for your body and spirit
creative inspiration to motivate and energize you
If you’re interested in starting or strengthening a journaling practice or getting more creative motivation and support, I think you’ll like them.
What they aren’t: if you’re looking for prompts to tell what to do for your project every day, these might not be your cup of tea. Your project is self-guided, the prompts are to help you better understand and define your creative process so that you can show up and make every day.
Here’s the answers to a few commonly asked questions:
Do I have to be participating in the project to get the prompts? Nope! It’s like a little creative love letter 💌 in your inbox every day, and you can do that regardless of whether or not you’re doing the project this year.
Do I have to be a paid subscriber in order to do the project? Definitely not. Doing the project is free, the paid version is optional.
Can I use the prompts as my project? Of course!
What’s different from last year? This year we have more guest contributors (more on that soon!).
What are the perks of becoming a paid subscriber? A daily creative prompt for all 100 days of the project, access to 400+ past prompts, and so much gratitude for supporting the project 💓
If I’m already a subscriber, do I need to sign up again?
Nope. If you’re already a subscriber (thank you 🙏), no need to sign up again – you’ll get an email a few days before your subscription auto renews. And if you’d like to cancel your subscription at any time, here’s how to do that.
This is the one and only dedicated email I send out each year about becoming a paid subscriber. Doing the project is and has always been free – the prompts are just a bonus, and your support helps us cover our expenses to keep the project going, pay contributing writers, and add to what we can offer here each year. Thank you so much to all of our subscribers, we couldn’t do it without you. If you’re not interested in receiving the daily creative prompts but would like to contribute, you can chip in any amount here.
Here are a few other ways you can support the project:
most importantly: participate! ✨
invite friends 👯♀️
cheer people on 🥳
share your work 🖼️
Do you have any other questions about the prompts? Post them in the comments!
XO,
Lindsay
