Hello, Artists!
I’m writing to you from a small coastal town in New England. For a few short days, I’m out here living my Practical Magic fall fantasies (iykyk). It is a moment of transition, in more ways than one. The leaves are just starting to change and there’s that barely-there crisp feeling of fall. It happened slowly and then all at once, like a lot of changes do.
Here’s a thing that I think happens for a lot of us when #The100DayProject ends: we go on a break. Summer is just starting, maybe the kids are out of school and childcare is sporadic. Maybe you’ve been traveling or just enjoying the freedom of longer days the joy of it’s-still-light-out (very northern hemisphere-centric, I know).
As much as I love summer, I start to get a little itch in September – to do whatever I need to do to feel a little more grounded, to get back to my practices, to cultivate some discipline. There’s something about this time of year that makes me want to organize my life and buy a new notebook and probably some pens while I’m at it – you know what I mean?
Speaking of transitions, here’s a thing that happened to me recently: I got laid off. (The good news: you can hire me!). So while I’m pumpkin spicing my way up the Eastern seaboard and thinking about what I want to do next, I’m reminding myself that it’s pretty rare to get a pause as an adult and remembering all of the things I’ve been wanting to do but haven’t had the time or the energy. Like a fall round of #The100DayProject. But maybe not 100 days. A starter version. Just-getting-back version.
It’s something I’ve long thought of doing but not gotten around to and I wondered if anyone else would be interested, so I asked the community and here’s what we decided on: #The21DayProject. Three weeks to recommit to your creative practice. Are you in?
We’ll start next Tuesday, September 17 and I’ll share more details later this week about how to think about your project and get started. In the meantime, post your questions and ideas in the comments – I’m looking forward to hearing from you and reconnecting with the community 💓
XO,
Lindsay
P.S. If you’d like to see my coastal adventures, you can follow me on Instagram here. And while I’m looking for my next thing, I’m available for 1:1 marketing support and projects. Here’s an incomplete list of things I can help you with: growing your audience on social media, building your mailing list, community, content, and more. You can book 1:1 time with me here or send me an email if you’d like to talk about larger projects! I love helping people get their ideas and passions into the world 🌎
I just started my second round of 100 days! I finished 100 days of quilting and now I at day 9 of 100 days cross stitching. I have to think about joining this.....maybe with some crochet of a knitting project.....
I hope you start a new 100 days project on January first 2025! My goal is to do 3 100 days projects in 2025!
Super! I was thinking a 30 day project….
