Hi Artists,
It’s Day 100 of #The100DayProject! Congratulations 🎉
Whether you’re on Day 100 or Day 22, or you cheered on from the sidelines this year, I want to say thank you for being part of this community. I am so inspired by all of you. Did you know we’re up to almost 2 million posts on IG? WOW! I celebrate you.
What are you celebrating about yourself and your project this year?
Unfortunately, we won’t be organizing any live in-person events this year (again) due to the pandemic. But that doesn’t mean you can’t do something special on your own or online with creative friends to acknowledge your 100 days (or however many days you’ve done 😉).
We’ll be hosting another round of Creative Playshop in two weeks as our official online celebration – would love to see you there!
And whether it’s putting on a digital art show, organizing your work into an artifact like a book, setting up an online shop, or something else, think about how you want to continue. To celebrate the end of the project, I’m offering 20% off GET PAID FOR YOUR ART with the code HOORAY until this Friday.
You know I’ve gotta say it – KEEP GOING!
XO,
LJT
P.S. We have a few more fun events coming your way, keep an eye out 😉
Day 100 🎉
This 100 Days has given me the ability to move beyond my fear of rejection-failure, over and over and over. Daily, which is exactly what I needed.
I will admit that I thought I was being a bit woosie by NOT choosing to do art. However, choosing to engage with these posts and respond in writing and creating word coasters in response to the writing for each day have been rewarding beyond belief. I also feel I have found new friend-soulsister-creative-co-creators in both YOU Lindsay, and several folks that I've bumped into via the posts here and via Instagram.
I've been a bit quiet about this project on Instagram but regardless, I am here to say THANK YOUUU! And I'm looking forward to the GET PAID FOR YOUR ART. I had a schedule conflict for the Creative Playshop but it went away so I just signed up for that too. This has been a heckuva rollercoaster ride in every good way imaginable and I feel my playful-creator has been focused about putting one step in front of the other and have a new mantra of: “do a bit today, no biggie, just do a bit today.”
Even more importantly I found a few mini-tasks to engage and create in that took less than 10-15 minutes per day.
FYI I have an AWESOME failed 100 Day Project because it was artwork that was taking me 3-4 hours a day. It lasted a week the first time and I think a few days longer the second time...it’s more like a 100 week project.
Like all good things, I'm a bit sad that this has come to an end, but I'm starting another 100 Day Project today that is spinning off this one.
The new one is: In Love & Ease with My Bod. I'm giving myself silver stars each day as a reward on the poster tracker and there are a few mini-tasks involved to complete each day. To amuse myself and to take the place of the word coasters, I've printed and cut out 99 2D bottles of beer as a way to honor one mini-task: reduce alcohol and caffeine's role in my life. I could have easily made coffee cup print outs but my 8 year old self LOVES singing 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall and it adds a bit of singing to each day as I take one of the bottles down. I’ll show off the 99 Bottle Wall on Instagram. I’m kinda excited about it. lol.
