Hello Artists!
There are less than two weeks until the project starts on January 31st. If youâre still deciding on your project, here are a few helpful places to start:
Brainstorm! What are you curious about, what do you love to do, what would you like to learn or what skills would you like to develop, what would you like to accomplish? Now you have a ton of inspiration for what your project might be!
Examine your reason for doing the project this year â are you doing it to have fun, to work on a skill, or to work towards an outcome? Having a clear why will help keep you focused when the project inevitably gets boring or difficult (working through it is part of the project!).
Once youâve narrowed down your project, take it on a test run to see if itâs something youâll actually want to do every day for 100 days (yes, every day). A little experimenting before we start will help you see where you might want to tweak or simplify your project.
Decide what âcountsâ. Itâs up to you! Some days youâll have more time and energy than other days, so you might have a range of what you consider as working towards your project. Some of you might want to plan a prep day every week, for example. Â
When youâve decided on your project, itâs time to announce it to your friends and followers. You can use the graphic below or create your own. Use the hashtag #the100dayproject so other people doing the project or following along can find you, and add your own unique hashtag as well.
Any questions? Post them in the comments! In case you missed it: you can watch the Q&A here and find frequently asked questions here.Â
XO,
LJT
I asked a friend to help get me in creative gear a couple of years ago, and we decided to collaborate on some some amulets, using her pottery and my textiles. Needless to say, I somehow misplaced her hard work, along with some piddling starts of mine. I need to make this right, and am aiming at making 10-20 amulets, that I can send to her, for her to lose. I am going to spend the next two weeks considering my path, already have gotten yarn, small looms, and hooks ready to work.
